Pamela is an Associate Professor of English at UConn’s Avery Point campus, where she is the writing coordinator, the English major coordinator, and the faculty advisor to the creative writing club. Pam also chairs the CLAS Courses and Curriculum committee. She recently released a lecture series, Great Utopian and Dystopian Works of Literature (The Great Courses, 2017), and is author of Dime Novels and the Roots of American Detective Fiction (Palgrave, 2013). She is also the book review editor for Clues: A Journal for Detection. Pam regularly supervises graduate and undergraduate independent studies and internships in various areas of popular culture, gender theory, and genre theory.
