Blair Johnson


Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor in Psychology


Blair teaches courses related to health psychology, attitude change, and meta-analysis in UConn’s Department of Psychological Sciences. His scholarly writing has focused primarily on social influence and behavioral health, especially HIV/AIDS, exercise and blood pressure, placebo responding in antidepressants, and most recently, strategies to improve mental and physical health to promote healthy lifestyle choices. As a journal editor, Dr. Johnson has the opportunity to influence numerous scholars’ writing and often engages UConn undergraduate and graduate students in these pursuits.
